Business History

Surf's Up Web Design was founded in 2005 to fulfill two goals. First, we wanted to utilize web-based solutions to help businesses compete in the Internet Age. Second, we wanted to fulfill the owner's life long dream of owning a computer business that could improve the way others did business.

Paul A Rentschler, Owner and Developer

Paul Rentschler has been working with computers since his first Commodore 64 in 1983. Over the years he has worked on and with numerous computers ranging from Intel based PCs running DOS and Windows to Apple computers running various versions of the Macintosh OS. He has been working in the computer industry since 1994 and building web-based solutions since 1997. His web-based solutions utilize the open source technologies of the Apache web server, the MySQL database engine, and the PHP web programming language on Linux and Windows based computers.
